Select the right students for programmes in business, economics and social sciences

ITB-Business is a psychometric subject-specific test for assessing aptitude to study in the field of business administration, economics and social sciences. The test can be taken online or offline at the campus, in test centers or from home via video supervision (proctoring). ITB-Business consists of four modules, each comprising 15 exercises, which have proven successful in predicting academic success.

Duration: 2 hours, 60 exercises .

Languages: English, French and German

Participation fee: 76 euro plus VAT (90 euro gross)

Standardization: Scores from 200 to 800, standard values from 70-130 and percentile ranks enable comparison with the norm group, regardless of version and sample. This norm group comprises 1837 applicants from various business schools in three countries.

The mean reliability is .89 (Cronbach’s alpha). The prognostic validity of the modules used for academic success in various business and economics subjects has been proven in empirical studies.

* In the registration portal, only those test locations are displayed where places are still available. Test locations that are no longer displayed are already fully booked.

The deadline for registration is 12 p.m. (CET resp. CEST) on the date indicated (see table). Please note that once the late registration period has ended, it is no longer possible to change the test language or to re-register for a different date or test location. Registration will also no longer be possible. There will be no waiting lists.

Two tests will be offered per day, one in the morning (at 9 a.m. CET resp. CEST) and one in the afternoon (at 2.30 p.m. CET resp. CEST). You can find more information about the test procedure here. Proven test modules for the prediction of study success

Quantitative problems

measures quantitative skills and assumes a basic knowledge of mathematics.

Figural problems

consists of matrices that test reasoning in the figurative domain and general cognitive skills.

Text analysis

measures text comprehension using subject-related texts from the field of study.

Graphs and tables

measures competence in understanding illustrations and diagrams on various topics in the field of study.
