ITB-Business is a subject-specific study aptitude test developed according to the international standards of psychological aptitude diagnostics. It consists of the following modules which have proven to predict study success:

Quantitative Problems
Figural Problems
Analysing Texts
Graphs and Tables

Duration: 2 hours, 60 exercises

Test languages: English and German (other languages on demand)

Implementation: Online in test centers, on campus or online-proctored at home.

Participation fee: 90 Euro (including VAT), 140 Euro for late registrations.

ITB-Business Plus

ITB-Business Plus is an extension of ITB-Business (from November 2025) with 180 minutes of processing time, which some universities require for legal reasons.

The following modules have been added:

Managing Complexity (sample tasks)
Linguistic Structures (sample tasks)

Duration: 3 hours, 90 tasks

Participation fee: 90 Euro (including VAT), 140 Euro for late registrations.

Participants in ITB-Business-Plus receive a certificate showing their results in the classic ITB-Business test and additional results for the supplementary modules and ITB-Business-Plus. This means that ITB-Business-Plus can also be used to apply to all universities that accept the classic ITB Business test.

It helps to identify the best applicants and compensates for differences in high school grades. It can increase diversity and gives a fair chance to every applicant.
ITB-Business is offered online in test centers as well as online-proctored at home and can therefore be done everywhere in the world.
It was developed and evaluated by certified psychologists according to the international scientific standards of psychological assessment, has good reliability and validity for study grades.
It is guided by the EU's data protection standards, which are among the strictest in the world.
ITB-Business enables universities to make their admission process simple, straightforward and efficient.

Proven test modules for the prediction of study success

Quantitative problems

measures quantitative skills and assumes a basic knowledge of mathematics.

Figural problems

consists of matrices that test reasoning in the figurative domain and general cognitive skills.

Analysing Texts

measures text comprehension and critical thinking using subject-related texts from the field of study.

Graphs and tables

measures competence in understanding illustrations and diagrams on various topics in the field of study, critical thinking, quantitative abilities and data literacy.
